A simple "passport photo app" resizes your selfie. A compliant photo also depends on details a cropper can't verify:
- Head-to-frame ratio — for US 2 x 2, head must be 50–69% of the frame; outside that, the photo is rejected even if the dimensions are right
- Head tilt — over 5° tilt fails
- Eye line — must sit in the upper third of the frame
- Background uniformity — shadows on a white wall count as a non-uniform background
