Common rejection reasons at Policía Nacional
- ⚠Background not pure white — Policía Nacional rejects cream, beige, or light grey; this differs from the Spain TIE residence card spec which is more lenient
- ⚠Photo not exactly 32×26mm — Spain uses 32×26mm SQUARE-format (this is one of the few European countries using this size, not 35×45mm)
- ⚠Glasses (since 2009) — even prescription frames must be removed; no medical exception accepted by Cuerpo Nacional
- ⚠Religious headwear casting shadow — permitted in principle, but face must be fully unobstructed from forehead to chin
