• Background & Lighting: Use a plain white or light-colored background with no patterns, shadows, or other people visible. Ensure even lighting across your face with no harsh shadows or glare.
• Expression & Pose: Look directly at the camera with a neutral expression. Keep your eyes open and clearly visible, mouth closed, and face relaxed. Your head and shoulders should be centered and squared to the camera.
• Recency: Photos must be taken within the last 6 months and accurately represent your current appearance.
• Print Quality: For paper applications, photos must be printed on high-quality photo paper. Home inkjet prints are not accepted. Use a professional photo lab or pharmacy printing service.
• Digital Photos: For online applications, submit a digital photo at 2000 x 2800 pixels at 600 DPI. The file must be in JPEG format and under 4 MB.

Glasses & Head Coverings

• Glasses: You may wear prescription glasses if there's no glare hiding your eyes. Sunglasses or tinted lenses are not permitted.
• Head Coverings: Remove hats and head coverings unless worn daily for religious or medical reasons. Even with a head covering, your full face must be visible from the bottom of your chin to the top of your forehead, and from ear to ear.

Back of Photo Requirements

For paper applications, one photo must have the following information written or stamped on the back:

• The date the photo was taken
• The name and complete address of the photo studio (or the photographer's signature)
